Dr. Carlo Levi (Italian pronunciation: [ˈkarlo ˈlɛːvi]) (November 29, 1902 – January 4, 1975) was an Italian-Jewish painter, writer, activist, anti-fascist, and doctor.
He is best known for his book Cristo si è fermato a Eboli (Christ Stopped at Eboli), published in 1945, a memoir of his time spent in exile in Lucania, Italy, after being arrested in connection with his political activism. In 1979, the book became the basis of a movie of the same name, directed by Francesco Rosi. Lucania, now called Basilicata, is historically one of the poorest and most backward regions of the impoverished Italian south. Levi's lucid, non-ideological and sympathetic description of the daily hardships experienced by the local peasants helped to propel the "Problem of the South" into national discourse after the end of the World War II.

KliLu = Klinikum Ludwigshafen/Germany
Lieber Herr Kollege Ellenberger,
danke für Ihre
nette Nachricht.
meine musikalische Geschichte interessiert.

Hear the doctors play their
horns:
Christoph Loeser - Trumpet (dermatologist)
Laurenz Schmitt -
Trumpet (resident in dermatology)
Jörg Breitmaier - Tuba (psychiatrist)
Dieter Seiler - Saxophone (laboratory medicine)
Franz-Josef Zender - Trombone,
Composer (surgeon)
Ansonsten Glückwunsch zu Ihrem Engagement und beste
Grüße,

Valeri Vladimirovich Polyakov (Russian: Валерий Владимирович Поляков, born Valeri Ivanovich Korshunov on April 27, 1942) is a former Russian cosmonaut. He is the holder of the record for the longest single spaceflight in human history, staying aboard the Mir space station for more than 14 months (437 days 18 hours) during one trip.[1]. His combined space experience is more than 22 months.[2]
Selected as a cosmonaut in 1972, Polyakov made his first flight into space aboard Soyuz TM-6 in 1988. He returned to Earth 240 days later aboard TM-7. Polyakov completed his second flight into space in 1994–1995, spending 437 days in space between launching on Soyuz TM-18 and landing on TM-20, setting the record for the longest time continuously spent in space by an individual in human history

My relation to writing is relaxed. I am sort of married with medicine and writing is my "lover". I love criminal stories, have read and watched many, then I wrote three of them. As an argument I would like to foloow our colleague Jorun Thoerring: "If you have to be polite the entire day and have to swallow something, then it is a nice satisfaction to sit down at the computer in the evening and virtually murder somebody....."
