From 2008 thru 2010 I worked as a bus driver in Hamburg/Germany. It was fascinating to see in real life what the proverb says:
"fine feathers make fine birds"
In the morning the patients in the office say respectfully: "Good morning,
Dr. Löser"
and in the afternoon I was the stupid bus driver who was
responsable for all inconveniences of the passengers.
Back to the hospital I have lack of time to follow this hobby but in summer I will do some week-end trips for sure!
Gustav Nachtigal (23 February 1834 – 20 April 1885) was a German explorer of Central and West Africa. He is further known as the German Empire's consul-general for Tunisia and Commissioner for West Africa. His mission as commissioner resulted in Togoland and Kamerun becoming the first colonies of a German colonial empire.[1] The Gustav-Nachtigal-Medal, awarded by the Berlin Geographical Society, is named after him.
