3) New Struwwelpeter museum in Frankfurt (slovenly peter!)

Since 22.2.07 the former Struwwelpeter museum in the "Kunsthalle Schirn" has made a fusion
with the "Heinrich-Hoffmann-Museum" which has existed before. At last both aspects are unified!

Friends of Struwwelpeter Museum was founded in September 1995 to support and advance the museum, which is devoted to Dr. Heinrich Hoffmann (1809-1894), great reformer in the treatment of the mentally ill and author of Struwwelpeter (1845) and other children’s books. The museum is operated by the frankfurter werkgemeinschaft, an organization dedicated to aiding in the reintegration of the mentally ill and the mentally handicapped.

An annual membership meeting, held at the museum, is well worth the trip to Frankfurt - even from overseas. Membership (30,00 € or US $ 30 per year), and open to Struwwelpeter enthusiasts everywhere) includes the annual newsletter STRUWWELPOST.

STRUWWELPOST is a MUST for keeping in touch with the Struwwelpeter scene. It has news about activities at the museum, articles on Struwwelpeter and Heinrich Hoffmann topics, and Struwwelpeter news from everywhere: previews and reports of exhibitions and other events, and lists of new books and articles in periodicals. Each issue has a “Struwwel-Rätsel”, a puzzle to which readers can submit solutions. There is even a prize! STRUWWELPOST is edited by Dr. Walter Sauer, Neckarsteinach, Ulrich Wiedmann, Pfinztal, and Beate Zekorn-von Bebenburg, Frankfurt. World-wide interest in Struwwelpeter and STRUWWELPOST can be seen in contributors from such countries as Canada, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Russia, Poland, Mauritius, Holland, etc.

7) Nadeem Elyas is SpiritualDoc

He derives from Mekka the holy town of all muslims and he is a disciple of Allah and his prophet. At age 19 Nadeem Elyas left his saudi arabian homeland in 1964 to study medicine and islamistic sciences in Germany. Early the beginning ginecologist became interested in the representation of the islam. He was general secretary of muslim student organisations in Europe and is co-founder of the islamic cooperation organisation in Europe and since its foundation he is president of the central comittee of the muslims in Germany, representing 800.000 of about 3,2 million muslims in Germany.

Not only after 9/11 the small man with cultivated beard is a well-known voice of the muslims. He takes infinite patience to explain prejudices and works for the acknowledgement of the islam in Germany and for the dialogue of the religions. Together with Ignaz Bubis (the ex president of the central comittee of jews) he received the alternative piece prize.

9) Juscelino Kubitschek was PoliticDoc

Juscelino Kubitschek de Oliveira (JK) (September 12, 1902 – August 22, 1976) was a prominent Brazilian politician who was President of Brazil from 1956 to 1961. He was born in Diamantina, Minas Gerais. His father, João César de Oliveira (1872-1905), who died when Juscelino was two years old, was a traveling salesman. Juscelino's mother, a schoolteacher named Júlia Kubitschek (1873-1971), was of Czech descent.

Although trained as a doctor, Kubitschek was elected to the Minas Gerais State Assembly in 1934. However, with the advent of Getúlio Vargas' Estado Novo in 1937, Kubitschek was forced to return to practicing medicine. Nevertheless, he was appointed mayor of Belo Horizonte in 1940.

He was again elected to the Minas Gerais State Assembly in 1945, and became governor of the state in 1950. In 1955, he ran for president with the slogan "Fifty years of progress in five", and won.

He was sworn in on January 31, 1956 as President of what was then known as the Republic of the United States of Brazil.

10) Josef Schlömicher-Thier is BaritonDoc, BreweryDoc and TractorDoc

Josef grew up in a musical farmers family in the Steiermark/Austria. Later he was a professional beer brewer

and then studied medicine and singing in Graz. He specialized as general practitioner in Graz/Austria and Leoben/Austria.
He studied singing at the conservatory of Graz (Mag. Schmaranz) and at the music academy of Graz (Sologesang with Prof. Suttheimer and Liedgesang with Prof. Zeller). Opera Drama classes with Prof. Pöppelreiter, contracted for Don Carlos at the Graz Opera House.

Master class student of Walter Berry, manager of the cultural platform "Die Kuppel" in the Graz country hospital from 1987 to 1991. Member of the organisation "artists make music for ill people in the Steiermark". Regular concerts as Baritone. Then he specialized in ear nose and throat doctor in Salzburg/Austria with Prof. Albegger, later even for occupational medicine in 1996/96.
Since 1996 he is ear nose and throat doctor in Neumarkt on Wallersee/Austria and also the medical doctor of the Salzburg Music festival.
He runs memberships in several important societies around voice and music therapy and founded the Austrian Voice Institute which organises congresses and speeches internationally. His professional focus is working with voice professionals (teachers and singers etc.)
An essential article of him about the voice of children!
His Hobby: riding farm tractors!
