Listen to (Live recording, reduced sound quality!) "Ein
bisschen Ehre kitzelt doch"
Text:
Ein bisschen Ehre kitzelt doch,
und wäre sie noch so klein,
so trägt man doch die Nase hoch,
nicht wahr, so muss es sein.
Ei, wenn es um die Ehre
nicht so was Großes wäre,
wer wollt ein Deputierter sein.
Ich nicht. Ich auch nicht, nein!
and the final choir "Im
Leben hat sich oft gezeigt"
Text:
Im Leben hat sich oft gezeigt,
dass der, vor dem man sich verneigt
und der sich selber hochgepriesen
als arge Niete sich erwiesen.
Was wirklich zählt von Anbeginn
ist immer der Gemeinschaftssinn.

He is said to have been a universal genius.

Georg Forster "Liederbuch" - Nürnberg 1565 - Band 1
Besides his professions as medical doctor, GEORG FORSTER was music lover, author,
composer, collector and editor in ONE person.
His five collections of popular and tenor songs are an important document of "burgeois"
music culture of the early 16th century.
In the edition of 'Des andern theyls ... Teutscher Liedlein ...' (the other part of german songs...), Nurnberg 1565 the separate parts for ‘Discantus’, ‘Altus’, ‘Tenor’ und ‘Bassus’ have been set together in a partition for modern use. They contain songs about drinking, hunting, humoristic stories, love songs and court songs and even erotical songs.
Although Forster does not use the addition '... auff allerley Instrumenten zu brauchen' ('to play with several instruments') but explicitely '... zu singen' ('for singing') it is recommended to perform it with added instruments as the historical ones of that time like 'Flöten, Krummhörner, Cornamusen, Dulciane, Pommern und Schalmeien, Lauten, Gitarren und Gamben'. ANY combination from "a capella" to instrumental seems to be interesting.
The texts have been left in the original, only the printing has been modernized.

Jazz composer see www.henriettemueller.de
...and his work Theatre Music has been performed by the Philadelphia Doctors Orchestra:
Adam has been called a healer. His music considered to be from a realm of peace
and possibility. Interestingly, he happens to be a well trained general surgeon.
And while medicine has received much of his focus over the years, music has been
on his mind since childhood. Trained classically, Adam quickly became his
teacher’s prodigy and competed nationally.
As the years passed, he became interested in composing his own music. Formal
training in theory, jazz, improvisation, orchestration and production led to a
seasoned young composer who still had to mature. So what better place to do it
than in medical school. A graduate of the class of 1990 Adam went on to complete
a surgical residency and set up a practice near Madison, WI. He released “Echoes
In The Canyon” in 1998—his first solo CD. In 2002 he released “Center of My
Heart.” In 2005 he released “Keys of Hope.”

(........)
Focus of my composition style (just besides the oratorium and many many stage
music pieces exposed n my homepage) is concert music between twelve tone music
and jazz,
as it can be found in my two concerts for piano and orchestra (a sample will be
sent...).
Since 2007 I finally have the time to concentrate on marketing of these products
since I make only contracts with the theatre about single productions.
By the way I am looking for prominent editors ... see what happens.... this much
for today!

ComposerDoc | He began to make a reputation as a composer. His work, typically,
was intense and followed the trend toward serial music that
prevailed at the time. He received several major commissions. His
largest work was an opera named
Lou Salomé, based on the life of a nineteenth century literary
figure. It was premiered at the
Bavarian State Opera in Munich in 1981. |

Prinzessin Ulla und die schöne Lau
Märchenoper von Thomas Stiegler (Musik) und Manfred Weiß
(Text)
ab 6 Jahren, UA
Prinzessin Ulla kann nicht
lachen.
